About the Journal

Qualis Capes 2021-2024 - A2

Educar Mais Journal (REM) is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal affiliated with the Graduate Program in Science and Technologies in Education (PPGCITED) at CaVG/IFSul, developed in collaboration with the Graduate Program in Education (PPGEdu) at UNIPAMPA and the Graduate Program in Education at Univille.

The journal aims to disseminate high-quality scientific research and innovative educational practices in the field of Education and Teaching (CAPES classification). Within the scope of REM, this field encompasses investigations situated in the Human and Social Sciences, as well as studies related to the teaching of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, with particular emphasis on pedagogical approaches, teacher education processes, and theoretically grounded educational practices.

REM publishes original contributions that advance knowledge in the field of education, including:

  • Original empirical research in Education and Teaching;

  • Studies on the development, analysis and implementation of educational products, provided that they are grounded in and articulated with research in the educational field;

  • Analytical reports of pedagogical experiences conducted in real educational contexts, supported by consistent theoretical frameworks and including a critical analysis of planning, implementation, and outcomes;

  • Systematic or analytical review articles covering a minimum time frame of five (5) years and explicitly presenting the theoretical framework and methodological procedures adopted in the analysis;

  • Theoretical studies that contribute to conceptual or methodological advances in educational research.

Didactic proposals that are not associated with research activities and manuscripts based solely on opinion surveys, perceptions, or unanalysed numerical data are not considered for evaluation.

Editorial management is conducted through the Electronic Journal Publishing System (SEER), customized by the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT). All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring the anonymity of authors and reviewers throughout the evaluation procedure. The average time between manuscript submission and editorial decision is approximately 60 days.

REM adopts a continuous publication model, keeping the current annual issue open (In progress). Articles are published online immediately after acceptance and final editing, enhancing the speed of scientific communication, visibility, and citation potential.

REM operates under a diamond open access model, meaning that publication is free of charge for both authors and readers. The journal is fully funded by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Sul-rio-grandense (IFSul), which provides the institutional infrastructure and support required for the maintenance of its editorial activities.
