Neste trabalho, buscamos refletir sobre os conceitos de democracia racial e as influências que esta concepção traz para nosso dia a dia. Vivemos em uma sociedade que prega valores individuais e coletivos; entretanto, os individuais sobrepõem os coletivos quando as necessidades de cada um são apresentados primeiro. Historicamente construímos e ainda estamos em processo [e acredito que deveremos sempre estar] de conhecimento, reflexão, ressignificação e reestruturação do pensamento. Somos humanos, e essa é a beleza. O fato de sermos humanos nos faz frágeis em nossas próprias atitudes; e nessas fragilidades apontamos caminhos para melhorar. Ao longo das linhas convidamos você a remontar historicamente [uma parte] alguns fatos que materializam a tentativa de construir a noção de democracia racial; e ao final, provocamos a leitura da seção sobre a construção do mito.
