This article is based on a single Case Study, in which data are presented regarding a student enrolled in the third year of Elementary School at a regular municipal school. The guiding question of the investigation is: How do the particularities of a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder manifest in the process of mathematical literacy in the early years? The research adopts a qualitative approach, developed through document analysis, observation of experiments, and dialogue with the participants, which allows for data triangulation. The results indicate that the student faces challenges related to concentration, showing a high level of distraction and signs of fatigue when confronted with task demands. However, the student demonstrates being in the process of Mathematical Literacy, presenting particularities in the construction of the concept of number.
