Active learning spaces and their potential for solving complex problems

Problem solving is a fundamental skill to be developed and appropriated by individuals and should be seriously considered in the education of children and young people. In order to understand how learning spaces can influence the development of this competence so relevant to 21st century students, the main objective of this article was to explore the potential of Active Learning Spaces as mobilizing cognitive competences linked to solving problems. problems present in society. The methodological procedures were qualitative, with an exploratory research and an action research approach, with emphasis on observation and interview with the subjects. The results obtained indicate that disruptive learning environments are important elements for education and when combined with the use of digital technologies, they enhance the stimuli and contribute to a more meaningful and reflective learning.
