Emergency remote teaching from the perspective of Higher Education students

The objective of the research was to describe the main difficulties identified by higher education students from public and private institutions in Fortaleza - Ceará during the period of remote activities. The problem that drove the research is related to Remote Teaching and its effects from the students' perspective, highlighting the possible gaps identified and the main responsible for their repair. The research was characterized as descriptive quantitative based on a survey, carried out with thirty-three students from public and private colleges and universities with active enrollment during the period of remote academic activities in the years 2020 and 2021. The research was divided into three phases : planning, collection and analysis of data. It was found that the scarcity of resources, pedagogical guidance by the educational institution, psychological factors and the limitation or scarcity of financial resources to support student permanence, in addition to other factors, affected significantly enhance the learning process during this period.
