Abstract

Sabemos que o óleo de cozinha usado quando despejado na pia ou na
terra contamina milhões de litros de água, pois o mesmo não se mistura com a água. O objetivo do presente trabalho é demonstrar que com materiais simples (pedras pequenas, médias e grandes) pode-se fazer um pré-tratamento da água que se destina ao sumidouro. O trabalho foi desenvolvido para uma possível aplicação em casas da zona rural. A água carregada de óleo de cozinha passa pelas diferentes pedras e chega a seu destino mais limpa, pois passou por um processo de filtração.
