This article describes qualitative research carried out with three children, two from Early Childhood Education and another from the 2nd year of Elementary School, at X. The objective is to describe and analyze children's responses to the comparison and classification of different elements, using balls and Logic Blocks. The text discusses Deaf Education and Mathematics Education, describing the activities carried out with children, which covered concepts of comparison, classification and ranking, and also size, quantity and shape. The data was produced and collected from filming. The results stand out: the children presented similar reasoning results, the use of Libras as a form of communication facilitated the process and the comparison was carried out considering only one criterion at a time.
