The purpose of this paper is to reflect, through Freire's perspective, the potential of using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT's) at school, contributing to the emancipation and socialization of subjects, in addition to their objectification. This problematization stems from the epistemological relationship between subject and reality present in Freire's work, resulting in the concept of technological noise. A qualitative methodology was used in this study, with analysis criteria for the proposed theme created after bibliographical research and a focus group with teachers from public and private schools on the North Coast of Rio Grande do Sul. As a result, it was found that there is discomfort in the subject's relationship with technology within the scope of school spaces, increasing the need to discuss aspects related to how much society is, for the most part, benefiting or not from technological advances.
