Abstract

Seeking to understand the scenario of Cultural Astronomy throughout Elementary School, in the municipality of Bagé, as recommended by the BNCC, we built a support material for the teacher, a continuing education course and two evaluation questionnaires. At first, we collected data that helped to understand the previous perception of the theme, going through the presentation of support material and ending with the second questionnaire that seeks to find out what is the new perception of Cultural Astronomy among the participants. Although participants see Cultural Astronomy as a topic that is important to be presented to students, they do not have contact with the topic or materials that can help when working with the area of study, which makes it difficult to implement the topic in the classroom.

Author Biographies

Andressa Melo Jacques, Universidade Federal do Pampa - Unipampa

Possessed a degree in Physics from the Federal University of Pampa (2019). Currently he is Professor of Physics at the Cesar Center for Study and Learning.

Guilherme Frederico Marranghello, Universidade Federal do Pampa - Unipampa

Holds a degree in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1998), a Masters in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2000) and a PhD in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2003). He did postdoctoral studies at the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur and at INPE. He is currently an associate professor at the Federal University of Pampa. He has works in the areas of nuclear physics, astrophysics, gravitation, teaching physics and teaching astronomy. He works mainly with the Dissemination and Popularization of Astronomy, coordinating the Astronomy for All project.
