Abstract

The combination of several elements leads to a good quality of teaching, in which the preparation of students and teachers can be highlighted. The teaching internship goes far beyond learning to teach, as the teacher who feels committed to his student makes use of resources that will provide his motivation and real learning. The Didactic Improvement Program is an Institutional Program of the Federal University of São Paulo that meets the policy of teacher training for graduate students of Unifesp Post-Graduate Programs, with the objective of developing for the teaching practice in all its aspects. The objective of this work is to report the experience of this teaching internship in the curricular unit of Pathology, for the second year of graduation of the bachelor's degree in Nursing at Escola Paulista de Enfermagem, Universidade Federal de São Paulo. The work of the interns included the preparation and administration of supervised classes and tutoring for the work, among other activities. Excellent results were obtained regarding the interaction between interns and students, and the process was a unique experience, as the interns went from a position of “receiver” to “supplier” of knowledge, with the challenge of democratizing knowledge.
