This article is an experience report of a clinical case of psychopedagogical intervention through playful mediation with a child with neurofibromatosis type 1. Thus, its objective is to report an excerpt from the case, in which the psychopedagogical intervention through playful mediation was used in the stimulation and organization of the activities. superior psychic functions of the infant, with a special focus on behavior control, action planning and symbolic function, in order to promote their psychic development and expand their learning capacity. The study uses qualitative methodology and starts from the Vygotskian presupposition of research as a process, which, at the same time as research, promotes changes in the researched reality. The methodology used in the interventions with the infant was the psychopedagogical approach through playful mediation with a conceptual basis in the Historical-Cultural Theory of human psychic development. As a result, we observed the boy's development, who, after two months of interventions, was more organized, controlling his actions within the proposed contexts and starting to play symbolically.
