  • Theoretical studies in the educational field.

Didactic proposals not associated with research and manuscripts based exclusively on opinion surveys, perceptions, or numerical data are not accepted for evaluation.

Editorial management is conducted through the Electronic Journal Publishing System (SEER), customized by the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT), and all submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Educar Mais Journal seeks to promote academic exchange among researchers from different institutions, regions, and countries, encouraging the submission of works that reflect the diversity of educational contexts and theoretical-methodological perspectives. The journal values studies that demonstrate scientific rigor and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Education and Teaching, expanding the understanding of teacher education processes, pedagogical practices, and educational policies at different levels and modalities of education.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted to Educar Mais Journal are evaluated through a double-blind peer review system, being anonymously assessed by at least two reviewers selected according to their expertise or thematic affinity with the manuscript.

In cases of divergence between reviewers’ reports, a third reviewer may be invited to provide an additional evaluation. Only manuscripts that receive two favorable reviews will be accepted for publication.

The standard time for issuing the review is 21 days, counted from the date the manuscript is sent to the reviewer, and may be extended upon request up to a maximum of 45 days.

When revisions are requested, authors must submit the revised version within the deadline established by the editorial team. If any suggestion is not followed, a justified explanation must be provided.

Once accepted, the article must be submitted in its final version, formatted according to the journal’s template. Any remaining errors after the proof stage will be the responsibility of the authors.

The anonymity of authors and reviewers is strictly preserved throughout the entire evaluation process.

Periodicity

Educar Mais Journal adopts a continuous publication model, keeping the current annual issue open (In progress). Articles are published immediately after acceptance and final editorial processing, ensuring greater agility in scientific communication, increased visibility of the works, and greater citation potential.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that free access to scientific knowledge contributes to the democratization of knowledge and enhances its dissemination on a global scale.

Journal History

Educar Mais Journal was created in 2012 by the Teaching in Science and Mathematics Center Program (PRONECIM) with the initial aim of disseminating works related to Basic Education.

In 2017, the journal underwent an editorial reformulation and became a scientific journal, accepting exclusively articles resulting from scientific research.

At the end of 2018, the journal became affiliated with the Graduate Program in Science and Technologies in Education (PPGCITED) at CaVG/IFSul, while editorial management remained under the responsibility of the PRONECIM team. From 2019 onwards, editorial management began to be shared directly by PPGCITED, strengthening its role in the editorial process.
