Abstract

The present work, defined as an original article with quantitative and descriptive information, was developed with students of Integrated Technical High School in Administration at the Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense, Lajeado/RS. It was characterized as a teaching project entitled “Photosynthesis: interdisciplinary exploration”, which involved the disciplines of Biology, Physics, Academic Initiation and Mathematics. It consisted of the following actions: (a) monitoring the germination and growth of a corn plant; (b) creating connections between variables in each discipline; (c) analysing and presenting results in descriptive, graphic and tabular forms; and (d) making a scientific summary and oral presentation. The objective was to analyse the results arising from the development of the project, both regarding actions directly aimed at the classroom and what happened later, and, with this, widening views and detailing pedagogical aspects, inherent to the process as a whole.
