Abstract

With the increase in demand for meals outside the home and the growth of overweight people, the study aimed to evaluate the nutritional quality of transportable meals in the municipality of Guarapuava-PR. This is cross-sectional research conducted in three food production units (UPR). Data from three transportable meals were collected, for evaluation and comparison with the norms of the worker's feeding program (PAT) and the qualitative evaluation of the menu preparations (AQPC). It was found that in relation to the caloric value, all were above the recommended. In the macronutrient question only UPR3 was adequate, the others contained high lipid and protein value, occurring carbohydrate deficit. In the qualitative analysis, UPR3 obtained the best results. This emphasizes the need for a nutritionist to elaborate menus in food production units.
