Abstract

This study aims to identify the perceptions of teenagers and health and education professionals regarding promotion of sexual and reproductive health actions developed in the Health at School Program. This is a descriptive-exploratory research, with a qualitative approach, conducted with teenagers and education professionals from a public School and health professionals from a Basic Health Unit in Southern Brazil. For data collection, Focal Groups were used. Data organization was based on the Collective subject discourse methodology and its analysis through the Thematic Content Analysis. In the statements, the teenagers’ participation in the action planning or evaluation wasn’t identified. Health professionals indicated the need of identifying meaningful demands to the teenagers. Effort is invested in information and communication technologies and in the intersectorial and family cooperation. Teachers reassured their role as facilitators. In conclusion, it’s important and necessary to think about building new possibilities for educational actions to promote sexual and reproductive health with the teenagers’ active participation.
