Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to promote reflection and debate about remote classes developed by the teachers who are linked to the Minas Gerais State Department of Education in the face of the new coronavirus pandemic, responsible for the emergence of the respiratory infection known as COVID-19. The present work consists of a literature review based on authors who approach the theme, therefore teaching knowledge, the need for social isolation in the current situation, as well as the emergency remote teaching adopted as a work strategy for teachers were discussed. It was highlighted the need for the teacher to put into practice his know-how on the profession, adapting his practices to the new work reality. It was understood that there was a lack of qualification and planning required for remote teaching practice, making it necessary for teachers to reevaluate their practices. The conclusion was there is a need to invest in teachers’ training for the sake of the development to remote education performance.
