Abstract

This article is an excerpt from the course conclusion project entitled “Design and affectivity: project of a board game for the expression of emotions in children's life”, from the IFSul's Bachelor of Design course. Thus, emphasis was given to the development of illustrations. The study included a bibliographic research, a questionnaire aimed at the target audience and analyses, after which the project was defined and the characters were created. Based on the theme chosen from the bottom of the sea, emotions (joy, sadness, anger, love, fear, disgust and surprise, considered the main seven) are represented by marine animals. Thus, it is expected that the characters developed can be a playful tool that helps children to understand and express their emotions in a fun way
