Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of amino acid-based biostimulants on the physiological and sanitary quality of baraúna seeds. The experiment was conducted at the Phytopathology Laboratory of UFPB, Campus II, Areia-PB. Seeds were collected from five mother plants located in Baraúna, Paraíba, Brazil. The treatments included: Control (sterilized distilled water), fungicide (Captan, 240 g/100 kg), AgroMos® (300 mL/100 L), Folha Top® Aminoagro (0.5 L/ha), Liqui-Plex® Fast (150 mL/100 L), Liqui-Plex® CaMg+B (150 mL/100 L), Liqui-Plex® (150 mL/100 L), and Bonder Master® RR Ultra (0.5 L/ha). Fungal incidence on seeds was assessed using the Blotter Test, with results expressed as percentages. Germination and seedling emergence tests evaluated the germination and emergence percentages, as well as the germination and emergence speed indices, with results also expressed as percentages. In both tests, seedling shoot and root lengths, as well as their dry mass, were measured and expressed in grams. The commercial products Liqui-Plex® Bonder and Master® RR were effective in controlling Aspergillus sp., Aspergillus niger, and Penicillium sp. in baraúna seeds. The commercial product Folha Top® Aminoagro increased the seed germination rate.
