Obtaining seeds of good physiological quality, is the result of a set of factors related to climatic conditions, mainly temperature and rainfall in the production fields, so that it is one of the main challenges for agricultural production because they influence the seed formation process and, consequently, interfere in its quality. Thus, the aim of this study was to identify which production site, based on temperature and rainfall, provided Urochloa decumbens seeds with better physiological quality. Seeds from 15 production fields allocated in four states were harvested and taken to the seed analysis laboratory, temperature and precipitation informations were obtained from these locations. The tests made were water content, germination, dormant seeds, and tests of vigor: emergence, first count of seedling emergence in sand, seedling length and seedling emergence in the field. Univariate analysis was used to compare the means of treatments by the Scott Knott test, at 5% probability and to discriminate the environmental factors that influenced the quality parameters, multivariate statistical analysis was applied through Principal Component Analysis. The batch of seeds that obtained the best results for physiological quality came from the production field of Cássia dos Coqueiros – SP.
