The present research sought to investigate the State of the question regarding the teaching of Physics in the curricular component of Science in the final years of Elementary School (ES), through the discussions of the scientific community. The investigation took place through the analysis of 15 articles, based on the selection carried out in the Oasisbr search engine in the period 2001-2022. After reading and analysis, the articles were classified into three categories: Significant learning of physical concepts in the Science curricular component in the final years of ES; Didactic strategies for teaching Physics in the final years of ES: Possibilities based on the use of experimentation and/or technology; Didactic materials for teaching Physics in ES. From the analyzes and discussions, we realized that there are countless possibilities of materials and strategies that influence the teaching and learning process. In addition, the choices of strategies and materials are related to the search for meaningful learning. Furthermore, no studies were found about the perceptions of teachers who teach Science about the teaching of Physics, which becomes an emerging issue to be investigated.
