Abstract

The work presents the perceptions of the communal teachers of 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of Lajeado - RS regarding the importance and the obligation of teaching the cursive letter. According to the Common National Curricular Base (BNCC), its teaching is required. In this way, the purpose was to verify what teachers think about it, as well as if they consider it important to know how to read and write using this letter, besides investigating possible skills that are developed with its use. We analyzed theoretical references such as Pro Letramento Material, Cadernos do Pacto Nacional pela Alfabetização na Idade Certa, BNCC, Soares (2015), Camini (2013) and Morais (2012), besides researches with teachers to verify their position. Based on the data and the theoretical framework, we analyzed the teaching of cursive writing, the simultaneous exposure of the student to the letterpress and cursive, the continuity of the demand for the cursive letter, the relationship of the teacher with the cursive writing, as well as the feasibility of their teaching in the 1st and 2nd grades. We observed that teachers consider their teaching important and prefer to use it. They also emphasize that its use stimulates better the brain and improves motor coordination.

Possui graduação em Letras Português-Alemão pela Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos - UNISINOS (1998), mestrado em Linguística Aplicada pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica - PUCRS (2006) e doutorado em Linguística Aplicada pela UNISINOS (2017) . Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Língua Portuguesa, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: letras português-alemão, interacionismo sociodiscursivo, ergologia, trabalho docente e enunciação. Professora do Ensino Básico, Técnico e Tecnológico no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Sul-rio-grandense - IFSul desde 2011. Chefe do Departamento de Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão (DEPEX) do IFSul Câmpus Lajeado, de 18 de março de 2014 a 31 de agosto de 2016. Diretora-geral do Câmpus Lajeado desde 1º setembro de 2016.
