Abstract

Analyze the quality of life, considering the personal and professional characteristics of Physical Education teachers working in Higher Education. The sample consisted of 93 physical education teachers from the mesoregion of Greater Florianópolis, state of Santa Catarina. Data collection was carried out online, using a questionnaire to characterize teachers and the Whoqol-bref. In the statistical analysis, descriptive analysis (absolute and relative frequency) and inferential analysis (Chi-square, Mann Whitney U Test and Kruskal-Wallis) were used. The information obtained revealed that university professors had positive scores in the general quality of life assessment. The social relations domain was evaluated more positively, while the environment domain was perceived as the most negatively affected.
