Abstract

This study investigates integrative pedagogical practices in Professional and Technological Education through an exploratory research that analyzes the Pedagogical Projects of Integrated Technical Courses in Mechatronics offered by Federal Institutes in the southern region of Brazil, identifying six Integrated Technical Courses in Mechatronics. The analysis highlights elements that strengthen such practices, such as the implementation of Integrated Professional Practice strategies, integrative project curriculum components, and complementary activities. It is concluded that these practices encompass interdisciplinarity, contextualization, and integration, present in the studied Pedagogical Projects, revealing a variety of configurations, without a single or exclusive approach. This study emphasizes the educational intentionality of integrative pedagogical practice, which, by articulating different disciplines and areas of knowledge, provides a more critical and comprehensive human formation for students, aiming to enhance their ability to face the complex challenges of the world of work.
